Justin Cohn
Justin brings a world of hockey experience and passion to CohnheadHockey. Having played for five Junior teams across four leagues including the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (EHL), Buffalo Regals (GOJHL), Rochester Monarchs/Utica Comets (NCDC), and New Jersey Titans (NA3HL) Justin’s journey through the game built both his on-ice skill set and an extensive network across the junior and college landscape.
Dedicated to player growth, Justin has spent years helping athletes develop their game through personalized skill sessions, camps, and mentorship that focus on advancing players to the next level. His coaching and scouting experience includes:

As the Founder of CleanFuel System, Justin has pioneered a holistic approach to athlete performance combining nutrition, recovery, and mindset optimization to help players perform with total clarity, energy, and confidence. This system is now fully integrated into the CohnheadHockey program, giving every athlete access to the same tools used by elite hockey players.
CohnheadHockey isn’t just a team it’s a family built on development, discipline, and doing things the right way. Justin’s mission is simple: to help each player reach their next level not just as an athlete, but as a person prepared to thrive in life and in hockey.
Julia Franklin
Julia Franklin brings a competitive spirit and a proven track record of dedication to the ice. Her journey in hockey has taken her from high-level youth competition to collegiate play, giving her a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed at every level.
A native of the region, Julia honed her skills playing for the Jr. Philadelphia Flyers AAA organization. She then advanced to the NCAA level, playing first at Suffolk University before transferring to Alvernia University. During her collegiate career, she was recognized for her on-ice excellence, earning All-Conference honors. This experience instilled in her the core values she now emphasizes as a coach: competition, hard work, and discipline.
Julia graduated from Alvernia University in May 2025 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Following graduation, she has committed her professional life to serving the community as an Emergency Medical Technician, and she is actively working on furthering her education in the medical field. This demanding work reinforces her belief in preparation, discipline, and performing under pressure—traits she actively teaches her players.
Julia is focused on developing well-rounded athletes who excel both on and off the ice. She strives to instill a rigorous work ethic and a competitive mindset, ensuring every player understands the value of pushing their limits and dedicating themselves fully to the team's success. She is excited to help CohnHeadHockey players achieve their full potential.
Ava Rinker
Player Development Coach
Ava Rinker
Ava Rinker developed through Tier I AAA boys’ hockey with the Valley Forge Minutemen before earning international recognition with Canada’s Pro Hockey program, where she helped her team go undefeated to win the World Selects Invitational in Prague and Helsinki.
From 2016–2021, she played for the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers Girls 16U–19U Tier I AAA teams, establishing herself as a reliable, two-way defenseman with elite compete level.
In October 2017, Ava committed to play Division I hockey at the University of Connecticut, where she became a cornerstone of the Huskies’ rise in Hockey East. During her collegiate career, she helped UConn capture back-to-back regular-season titles and win the program’s first-ever Hockey East Championship. She was named to the 2024–25 New England Hockey Writers Division I All-Star Team, served as Assistant Captain, and was voted Team MVP in her senior season.
Ava graduated from UConn in 2025 with a B.A. in Communication and a minor in Data Analytics before being selected 30th overall by the Minnesota Frost in the 2025 PWHL Draft.
Driven by a passion for performance, she combines her on-ice experience with an analytical mindset to enhance player and team development—putting in the work off the ice to perform on it.
Denise Cohn
Denise Cohn is the heart behind the CleanFuel approach bringing unmatched passion, care, and expertise to every athlete she works with. Deeply devoted to helping others live and perform at their best, Denise has spent years studying how food, recovery, and lifestyle directly impact human performance.
She takes immense pride in helping athletes understand their bodies on a deeper level teaching them how to fuel with intention, recover the right way, and create lasting habits that carry far beyond the rink. Her mission goes beyond meal plans or protocols; it’s about helping players take control of their health so they can unlock their full potential both in hockey and in life.
Through her work with the CleanFuel System, Denise has made a profound impact on athletes across all levels transforming the way they think, eat, and recover. Her approach is rooted in love, education, and empowerment, reminding every athlete that their greatest performance edge starts from within.
